US Vitamin Manufacturer Matsun Nutrition Makes Liquid Vitamins for Taiwan and China

According to ChinaDaily.com, most of the demand is stemming from a windfall of bad press regarding Chinese and Taiwanese supplement manufacturers cutting corners when it comes to quality control. According to AreaDevelopment.com, manufacturing in general is headed back to the US due to rising labor costs in China and Taiwan.

Matsun Nutrition’s Director of Quality Assurance Nolan Kerr said, “US manufactured products are seen as being at the high end of the vitamin supplement industry in Asia. We have seen a lot of requests for products to be manufactured here in our cGMP facility that are then being directly exported to Asia.”

Manufacturers in China and Taiwan have a negative stigma about how they cut corners to produce products cheaper with less quality (see dailyreckoning.com). Because of these concerns Asian companies are looking towards the United States for their health supplement needs. This is just one of the reasons that Chinese and Taiwanese companies are looking overseas for their supplement manufacturing.

With the new cGMP’s from the FDA, companies that follow them are better equipped to produce high quality products and compete on quality throughout the globe. A cGMP third party certification is one way that companies can show that they have a commitment to the cGMP’s and to quality.
